How it works

One unit at your HVAC. Every room the air reaches.

Most people have never heard of a whole-home probiotic system. Here's how it works. Here's the whole picture, from the unit to the refill.

How the E-Biotic Pro reaches every roomA two-story house in cross-section. One unit sits at the heating and air system in the attic. Ducts carry the airflow to vents in every room, and probiotics drift from the vents and settle on the surfaces below.

The idea

It rides the air your home already moves.

E-Biotic Pro connects to your HVAC and disperses beneficial probiotics through every vent, reaching the air, the surfaces and the ductwork in between.

  1. 1

    Installed at your HVAC

A technician mounts one compact unit on the ductwork near your air handler. Nothing to plug in inside the home.

  2. 2

Rides the airflow to every room

Each time your system runs, beneficial probiotics travel the same path as your air and settle where it lands.

  3. 3

    Refilled on a schedule

An annual probiotic refill keeps it going. We handle it as part of your plan.

What it is

A probiotic system, not a filter and not a purifier.

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria. Instead of trying to take something out of the air that passes through a box, the E-Biotic Pro adds something to the whole home: a continuous, light dispersal of probiotics that travels wherever your conditioned air travels.

Where it lives

On the ductwork near your air handler, usually in the attic, a closet or a utility space. Out of sight.

What it reaches

It reaches your surfaces and ductwork, the places your filter never touches.

What it isn't

This isn't an air purifier. It's what your filter can't reach.

What you do

Nothing day to day. Keep changing your filter as you normally would. We handle the annual refill.

Install day

One visit, no mess, and you see everything.

Here's what the technician does, in order. Most homes are finished in a single visit.

  1. 1

    A look at your HVAC

The technician finds the air handler and confirms where the unit will mount. You can watch or carry on with your day.

  2. 2

    Mount the unit

The compact unit attaches to the ductwork close to the air handler, where the air begins its journey through the house.

  3. 3

    Connect and set

It's connected, loaded with its probiotic supply and set to run with your system.

  4. 4

    Run and check

The system runs so the technician can confirm everything is dispersing as it should.

  5. 5

    Walk-through

You see the finished install, hear what to expect, and we schedule your first refill before we leave.

Typical visit length

The annual refill.

The unit disperses from a probiotic supply that is replaced about once a year. Your refill plan takes care of that on a schedule, so the system keeps working without you having to think about it.

How the refill is delivered and what it costs is covered on your call. We don't publish prices because every home is different. Pricing is covered on your video call.

Different tools, different jobs

What reaches where.

None of these is a replacement for another. The point is reach: which parts of your home each one actually gets to.

Is my home a fit?

Ducted central air is the main requirement.

Here's the honest checklist. If you're unsure, a free consultation is the easiest way to find out, and we'll tell you plainly.

  • Ducted central heating and air with vents in most rooms
  • Houses, and condos or townhomes with their own HVAC
  • Larger homes with more than one system (each system gets its own unit)
  • –Mini-splits, window units or a shared building system
  • –Outside Dallas–Fort Worth (ask anyway; we'll be straight with you)

Not sure what you have? Check your ZIP and bring a photo of your air handler to the call.

Questions

About the system and your home.

Is this an air purifier?

No. An air purifier treats the air that passes through it. The E-Biotic Pro adds beneficial probiotics to your home through your HVAC, so it reaches the air, the surfaces and the ductwork in every room the system serves.

What is a whole-home probiotic system?

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria. The E-Biotic Pro is a compact unit mounted on your ductwork that disperses them into the airflow each time your heating or air runs. Because it rides the air your home already moves, it reaches every room the system serves, including the surfaces the air lands on and the inside of the ducts.

Does it replace my air filter?

No. Keep your filter, and keep changing it. A filter catches what passes through it. The E-Biotic Pro does a different job: it adds something to the home rather than taking something out of the airstream. They work alongside each other.

Will I notice it running?

The unit sits at your HVAC, usually in the attic, closet or utility space, so it's out of sight. There's nothing to plug in inside the living areas and nothing to remember day to day.

Is it safe for my family and pets?

We don't summarize the product's safety documentation here, because we'd rather you see the actual documents. The maker's materials and third-party documentation are shared with you on your consultation, and you can ask us anything.

Where is it made and who makes it?

The E-Biotic Pro is made by EnviroBiotics, an established maker of probiotic systems for commercial spaces. E-Biotic Home is the brand for homes. My Probiotic Home is the local dealer that sells, installs and services it in Dallas–Fort Worth.

What does my home need?

Ducted central heating and air, with vents in most rooms. Houses, and condos or townhomes with their own HVAC, are usually a fit. Homes on mini-splits, window units or a shared building system usually aren't, and we'll tell you that honestly.

I have more than one HVAC system. Does that matter?

Yes, and it's common in larger homes. Each system serves its own set of rooms, so each one usually gets its own unit. We'll look at your setup on your consultation and explain exactly what your home would need.

I rent. Can I still have it installed?

Often, yes, with your landlord's permission, since the unit mounts on the HVAC. We can give you a one-page description to pass along. Tell us on the call and we'll help you work it out.

What if I have mini-splits or window units?

Then it isn't a fit, and we'll say so. The system needs ductwork to travel through. If you ever move to a home with central air, we'd be glad to talk.

I'm outside Dallas–Fort Worth. Can you help?

Our install team covers the DFW metro today. If you're nearby, get in touch with your ZIP; sometimes we can make it work, and if not we'll say so plainly rather than leave you waiting.
